VK-64 Version 1.3 Network Video Recording software has been developed to support the VB-C300 PTZ camera and to add additional control features and improved usability while retaining backwards compatibility to work with the VB-C50i, VB-C50iR, VB-C50Fi and VB-C50FSi Network Cameras. With this new software, a wider range of security monitoring challenges can be met with a Canon Network Video Solutions system. Unlike tape-based recording, this solution allows video to be stored, managed, and accessed by a computer, for simplified archiving and playback. When used in combination with other Canon Network Video Solutions products, a security administrator has a powerful, comprehensive system for monitoring and recording.

Customizable Operating Schedule

VK-64 software Version 1.3, you're in control of the operating schedule of all the cameras on your network. Set cameras to record continuously -- or by sensor event or motion detector event for scheduled periods. You can even set up special schedules for holidays and out-of-the-ordinary events that have different requirements. No matter what the calendar throws at you, the VK-64 can handle it.

What's more, with Version 1.3 of the VK-64 recording software, you can perform recording based on a customized trigger from third party software on an external device. The remote trigger transmits a command to the storage server specifying 9 parameters for:

* camera
* recording time (seconds)
* frame rate
* image size
* PTZ camera angle
* backlight compensation
* night mode
* event priority
* event name

Multiple Recording Modes

Match any requirement you have with a variety of recording modes. Continuous Mode ensures that you capture all the action. A variety of different modes ensure that your cameras are recording when they're needed. These modes include:

* scheduled
* sensor-event
* motion-detection
* pre/post alarm

When setting more than one recording mode, you can also set a different resolution for each mode. (Available only with VB-C50i/R, VB-C50Fi and VB-C50FSi.)

Additionally, you can choose the frame rate for recording live monitoring to best capture the video quality you require.
